About the speaker

During my PhD, I was trained as a biochemist focused on diatoms OXPHOS. I became fascinated by a peculiar aspect of these organisms: the mitochondria–chloroplast cross talk. This fascination led me to shift my focus to light-harvesting reactions to gain a broader understanding of how photosynthesis works. In recent years, I have been actively studying the light reactions by combining reverse genetics with time-resolved spectral fluorescence. My work explores topics that may shift our current perspective on NPQ.
